Best-selling and award winning author, radio and TV personality Gervase Phinn really is at his best and most exciting in front of a live audience, and has been touring theatres across the country for over 10 years as a hilarious raconteur. Dubbed “the James Herriot of schools”, ‘An Evening with Gervase’ will have you on the edge of your seats as he shares his hilarious and sometimes poignant tales of life as a schools inspector in the Yorkshire Dales.

Having taught in a range of schools for 14 years before becoming an education adviser and schools inspector, Gervase is now a freelance lecturer, broadcaster and writer, and is probably most well-known for his best-selling autobiographical novels including The Other Side of the Dale, Over Hill and Dale and The Heart of the Dales. With his keen ear for the absurd and sharp eye for the ludicrous, Gervase has delighted audiences all over the UK, receiving rave reviews wherever he goes.
