Last year The Little Theatre hosted Acoustic Sounds for the very first time. This year its back! Keen to provide a wide variety of arts entertainment, Acoustic Sounds is a great event to celebrate local talent and enjoy a wide variety of music. The event is also kindly sponsored by Intasound of Narborough Road.

Sunday 29th November……  a day for celebrating live music.  Numerous acts from around the county and beyond come together to perform from 12 noon on the Sunday till shortly after 5.30pm.

The acts include;

  • singers/songwriters
  • an acappella group
  • ukulele group
  • soloists
  • duos
  • bands
  • harmony singers

The theatre bar will be open during the event and there will also be tea, coffee and cakes on sale all day.

Our songwriters:

This year, We have the lovely Kim Lowings & The Greenwood;  Kim is an Appalachian mountain dulcimer player, pianist and songwriter. She sings with an enchantingly pure voice and The Greenwood create a harmonious backline of hypnotic guitar, bouzouki, double bass and percussion.

Steve Cartwright –  a singer/songwriter who writes songs about life, strife, love and war – something to make you both laugh and cry.

Vivien Richardson & Friends perform Vivien’s songs about people from the past to present day — always with a strong message to make you think.  Her ‘friends’ perform beautifully to add harmonies and other instrumentation to the mix.

Simon Stokes’ band “Work in Progress” entertains with songs about life in general, some very moving moments, lovely harmonies and just great entertainment.

In with the mix are solo artists, duos and groups who will perform well loved songs from across the decades to the present day, in a variety of styles and on a variety of instruments.

Come along and take a moment from your Christmas shopping !
