Ed Fringe Preview Pat Cahill Phil Ellis

9 June 2017 , 7.15pm

Pat Cahill The Fisherman (PREVIEW)

Pat Cahill is The Fisherman. Having hidden in plain sight as an absurdist comedian for a while now, it’s time for him to flash you a sneaky bink at his ultimate form. Come and enjoy a bit of quiet reflection by the riverbank, interrupted by an idiot who insists on singing, chatting and spooking the fish. ‘A near-perfect absurdist hour’ (EdFestMag.com). Best Show Nominee Leicester Comedy Festival 2016. ‘True star quality’ (Evening Standard). Time Out 10 Best Comedy Shows 2015. ‘2.8lb Perch’ (Anglers Mail).

Phil Ellis Has Been On Ice (PREVIEW)

Soon after winning the Edinburgh panel prize in 2014 for Funz and Gamez, Phil was cryogenically frozen until scientists could find a cure for his rare and non-sexually transmitted disease. That’s definitely the reason you haven’t seen him on TV. Finally he’s been defrosted but before he can rejoin society he must learn and process all that has happened in the world and to the people he loved during his stasis. ‘Genuinely, endlessly hilarious’ (Scotsman). ‘Paul Ellis’s show was a series of errors’ (BroadwayBaby.com). ‘Hilarious throughout’ (Telegraph).
