Two Thousand years
By Mike Leigh
Directed by Paul Beasley
Monday 14th - Saturday 19th June 2010
Two Thousand Years is a comedic drama about a family of Jews living in modern Britain, starting to lose touch with each other. Or it is a dramatic comedy about a modern, British, Jewish family finally beginning to understand each other?
The question of identity is at the heart of this play about three generations of the same family; some choose their religion over their society, some do the reverse; and others try and balance all aspects of what makes them who they are.
Contains occasional strong language.
