Daisy Pulls It Off engagingly captures the uncomplicated innocence of Angela Brazil’s novels about life in a ‘gels’ boarding school.

This scrummy story shows how our heroine, Daisy Meredith, coming from a poor elementary school background, passes exams and becomes the first scholarship pupil at the ‘snobby’ Grangewood School for Young Ladies. Our plucky girl undergoes a number of trials and tribulations (including bullying and possible expulsion) but by being honourable and straight in all things wins through in the end.
