Will you help us with our new building project?

The project will transform the Little Theatre into a modern and sustainable theatrical complex which is well suited to the varied needs and expectations of 21st century theatre practitioners and audiences.

Leicester Drama Society owns and operates the Little Theatre and has rehearsal rooms and wardrobe facilities in nearby Albion Street, Leicester. It is entirely self-supporting, receiving no grants or subsidies from any outside bodies for the day-to-day running of the Theatre.

New facilities:

  • 2 additional rehearsal rooms, with full disabled access
  • Workshop facilities at stage level for set construction
  • New box office, improved foyer and front of house facilities with full disabled access
  • Studio, wardrobe and other facility improvements

Four phases, over five years

Phase 1, which includes piling and foundations for our new building on the car park, will begin Summer 2015.
Phases 2, 3 and 4 require major fund-raising activities. In total we aim to raise £2 million.
